We went to Rusty Acres Apple Orchard yesterday. It was a lot of fun. There were 14 of us that went. There were only like 3 or 4 kinds of Apples ready yet, since the apples were ripening late this season. But the ones that were ready were Macintosh, lil Red or something like that, and Galas. Which is great cause I love Gala apples, so I was happy. We got a peck of apples so we are going to bake some apples probably make some apple crisp and maybe can some apples or something but I know that I will be eating apples for several weeks. We’ve added some pictures to the photo album, here are a few you might enjoy.

We went canoeing yesterday, it was a lot of fun. I think we went about 8 miles, so we were a little tired afterwards but it was a lot of fun. We went to the early service at church, then made some lunch at our place, then headed out. With the combined Oxford and West Chester groups it was 9 canoes or 18 people, so it was a good group.
These pictures are some of my favorite, the first is a picture of the Oxford group. Corrine and I, then May and 2 new filipino grad students and Sharmaine, so it was a good time. This second picture, you might have to ask May and Sharmaine if the view going down the river looks better when facing the wrong way or not, but either way it was a fun afternoon.

After the Canoeing a group came back to Oxford, and hung out on he deck and we just relaxed and tried to recuperate from the canoeing. Definately fun.

Corrine & I went to Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, to help her sister move out of her dorm. Sharmaine came down from Cleveland also to help. After the move we went shopping of course, I don’t think that you can get 3 sisters together they have to shop. I don’t know what it is, but its just a thing they do… After an afternoon of moving and shoping it was time to head back to Oxford. On the way back we just hit the “food” button on the GPS and picked Chinese, and saw this place on there that looked interesting so we decided to check it out. It is called the Yen Ching House, in Englewood, Ohio. Its a nice place. I would recommend it. Good food, nice atmosphere.

We had a fun weekend this past weekend. For a little anniversary trip we decided to go to Nashville, Indiana. Its a fun little town, a little tourist town in the middle of South Central Indiana, but it was fun. We explored the town, and just had fun in the little town. We went shopping, then saw a show put on by students and faculty at Indiana University, we then went towards our hotel, in Edinburg, IN, which just happened to be next to an outlet mall, so we went shopping for a while, and then had a late dinner. It was just a nice day.
Then the next morning we went over to Bloomington, to spend some time with some friends of ours who are on staff, at IU, and went to church with them and had lunch with them, so I was a fun day.

Corrine and I went to Ripley, West Virginia to the Parchment Valley Conference Center for the 2008 Foulk Family Reunion. We went out there for the weekend, and Corrine meet a lot of family she never met before and I met some I hadn’t even met before, we had a great time. We went on a wagon ride around the area, played games, had a bon fire, and just had a great time catching up with family. Incase you don’t know my maternal grandmother was a Foulk, so this was a reunion that brought together all of her brother’s and sisters and all of their kids. So I covers 5 generations of people. So it was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures of the weekend. Hopefully Foulks, will add some more to the Foulkfamily.org website, so check it out to see more.

On our way to the Reunion we saw a sign for Rio Grande, OH, and then a sign for the Bob Evans Farm, that is the location of the first Bob Evans. So on Sunday afternoon on our return from the reunion, we decided to stop by and check out the farm, so we walked through the house where Bob Evans lived, and walked through where the first Bob Evans Restaurant was at. So it was a fun weekend. Here’s a picture of Corrine infront of the mailbox and home of Bob Evans.
