So after a slightly shorter day, I have arrived in Albuquerque, NM. It was a very tough trip in regards to directions. When I pulled out of the parking lot of the hotel in Oklahoma City, I pulled onto Interstate 40, The hotel I am currently staying at is just off of I-40 as well, they are just like 600 miles apart from each other..
I stopped at a place called Dyer’s in Armarillo, TX. It was pretty good food. I ate a good combination plater. Pork, Beef & Brisket all pretty good, but the bbq sauce was awesome. The Pork was a little dry, but I liked it. I have been taking some pictures while I drive, so I’ll post them in a few days.

So we packed up my sisters stuff Saturday into a 26ft moving truck. We then put the car on a dolly behind the truck, and I left Sunday morning for my first of a few day journey towards Las Vegas. It looks like this will take about 3 days, I think I could make it in less but 30hrs without company in the truck makes for long days, especially when you are driving a big truck and trailer…
So after driving through , Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and finally into Oklahoma, I made it to Oklahoma City, also known as OKC down her. I did notice on a bill board somwhere about the OKC Redhawks, it was interesting, the bird on the sign kinda looked like swoop, the Miami RedHawk, but after checking the OKC Redhawks web site, the bird looks a little diferent, but maybe that’s cause he has a baseball bat in his mouth. the OKC Redhawks is a minor league baseball team. Ok, well I think its about time to head out and head towards Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We had an awesome party last weekend. We never took any pictures (not sure why) and we never got an official count of people, but someone there said that we had between 35 and 40 people and then close to a dozen kids. It was a lot of fun. Just catching up with all these friends I hadn’t seen in years, and actually only talked to most of them on Facebook, in a while… I think we might just have to do something like this again.

So we were out last night and stopped by walmart, and decided to pick up some eggplants and a few pepper plants. We bought two containers of peppers and two of the eggplants, and there were like four egg plants in the pots and probably four peppers in the pots as well, definately a good deal. Next will be to plant the veggies that Paul is growing on his porch, that we will plant in the garden in the next week or so, once the grow a little and we think they will survive living outside.

We finally got the fence up around the garden, and we moved the tomato plants and the spinach into the garden. Looks like we have close to 30 tomato plants planted, along with some onions, and some spinach. Should be a good year, with a lot of veggies to can.
